Leeds United, Leicester City, Southampton could be in hunt to sign West Brom forward Grady Diangana

Leeds United, Leicester City and Southampton could make a move for West Brom ace Grady Diangana this summer, according to the Express & Star.

The newspaper noted that the forward is being monitored by top-end Championship clubs, including the newly-relegated Whites, Foxes and Saints.

The Express & Star added that any potential deal for Diangana will be at market-value as the Albion look to avoid being low-balled in the transfer window.

“Several Championship clubs are keeping tabs on winger Grady Diangana – but Albion will not be forced to sell on the cheap,” according to the Express & Star.

“The £7million sale of O’Shea to Burnley helped bring in crucial funds as Albion look to balance the books this summer – and any further sales, including the likes of Diangana, will be at market value as the Baggies look to avoid being low-balled.

“It is understood top-end clubs from the Championship, including relegated Premier League sides, are monitoring the winger’s situation with an eye on moving for the former West Ham United youngster.”

Necessary exits

These are very worrying times for West Brom, with the club seemingly needing to sell a handful of their first-team stars this summer in order to balance the books.

The £7million move of captain and central defensive ace Dara O’Shea to newly-promoted Burnley may just have kickstarted this process.

These are unwanted but necessary exits, with the Baggies trying their best to raise funds ahead of the new campaign.

O’Shea’s exit will have been hard to take for manager Carlos Corberan, and the same can be said of Diangana if he is next out the door, with the wide player featuring heavily for West Brom last season.

He still has two years left on his five-year Baggies deal, but the 25-year-old is definitely among the select group of West Brom players who could go for a significant fee this summer.

The likes of Leeds, Leicester and Southampton could all certainly do with someone of Diangana’s talents and Championship experience, with the player boasting over 100 appearances in the English second division.

In other West Brom news, a Baggies trio are back in full training after their injury blows.
