West Brom to cash in on Grady Diangana for a decent fee this summer – Sky Sports pundit

We’re delighted to welcome former West Brom striker Kevin Campbell as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at The Hawthorns…

West Brom could look to cash in on Grady Diangana this summer for a good fee, believes Kevin Campbell, amid the transfer reports.

According to the Express and Star on July 4, he’s got admirers in the upper echelons of the Championship but the Baggies sit in a position of power.

If they were to sell him, they will not be forced to let him go on the cheap as he’s still got two years left on his contract at the Hawthorns.

Discussing this exclusively with West Brom News, Campbell, a Sky Sports pundit said, “I could see him leaving and I think there’s an opportunity for him to leave. He’s a good player, but he could be leaving.

So obviously, Corberan, who’s a good manager may be going in a different direction and there’s going to be a deal and with a good fee that can be negotiated.

I’m not sure what he’ll be, but, he’s a good player. There’ll be a good fee but the amount I have no idea.

There’s wiggle room there with two years left in his deal for West Brom to take it and to do a deal.

Diangana was among the first names on the team sheet for Carlos Corberan last season as the Baggies were in touching distance of the play-offs.

However, due to an injury that could see the 25-year-old play no further part, West Brom appeared considerably weaker in attack.

Diangana’s numbers were far from impressive, however, with him finding the back of the net on just four occasions in the league.

It remains to be seen if the Baggies will take advantage of the interest shown in the player with over 100 Championship appearances or whether they’ll decide to keep him at the Hawthorns.
