
Sky Sports pundit reacts as West Brom news emerges this week on four players

Kevin Campbell is delighted at the commitment West Brom are showing towards their young players and academy.
The Baggies announced on 21 July that four of the club’s young professionals have agreed on new deals at the Hawthorns.
This comes after as many as eight academy players were handed new deals a few weeks ago with the club tying down some talented names for the future.

Discussing this exclusively with West Brom News, Campbell, a Sky Sports pundit said, “I think it’s a good thing, you set up for a number of years and, if you’ve got a batch who you can believe in, then I think it’s a really good move by the club.
“Tie them up, get some of them on long deals, get some of them playing and then you take it from there. I think it’s really important to look at the future of the club.
“If you’re that type of club and you want youngsters to come through, then you’ve got to fast-track them.
“So sign them up, get them playing league football, you know, down the divisions or whatever is best.
“You never know, you might just few gems there that could save the club a hell of a lot of money.”

The four players that recently signed new deals include Mo Faal, who made his league debut for the Baggies against Sunderland last term.
The other three are midfielder Jamie Andrews, goalkeeper Brad Foster and defender Aaron Harper-Bailey.
Harper-Bailey was a regular for Richard Beale’s under-21s side last season and has also featured in first-team friendlies.
Carlos Corberan will certainly be taking a look at this talented crop of young players at some point during the upcoming season.
