Tammy Abraham sends two-word message to Jeremy Sarmiento as he completes West Brom move

England international Tammy Abraham has sent a two-word message to midfielder Jeremy Sarmiento after he completed his move to West Brom.

The Baggies announced the arrival of the 21-year-old on a season-long loan from Premier League side Brighton on 25 July.

The Ecuadorian international posted a photo of himself wearing a West Brom shirt on his Instagram page with the caption “New beginnings. Let’s get to work” and Roma forward Abraham responded by saying “Let’s go” with the fire emoji.

Nice to see

It’s unclear whether or not Abraham and Sarmiento actually know each other given that they have never actually played at the same club together.

But both players did grow up in London, with the new Baggies signing playing for Charlton’s academy for nine years and representing England at youth level, so there could be some connection there.

It’s nice to see a player that has gone on to make his name for himself take the time out to send the midfielder a message either way, as he looks to make an impression during his loan spell at the Hawthorns.

There’s also good luck messages to Sarmiento on the post from Brighton stars Tariq Lamptey and Billy Gilmour, who will be eager to see how he gets on during his spell at West Brom.

There have been plenty of positive words coming out of the Premier League club about the Ecuadorian after he has featured for them on 14 occasions since signing from Benfica in 2021, so Baggies fans will be hoping he can play a pivotal role in their push for promotion in the upcoming season.

In other West Brom news, a midfield general is closing on a decision whether to join the Baggies this summer.
