West Brom stance on Brandon Thomas-Asante exit emerges after Stoke City bid – Sky Sports
West Brom have rejected a bid worth £2million for forward Brandon Thomas-Asante from Stoke City, according to Sky Sports.
The news outlet reported on its live transfer feed on 30 August (02:29pm) that the Baggies feel the offer for the 24-year-old was well below market value.
It said the Potters are considering making another bid for the forward, but that other clubs are also monitoring his situation at the Hawthorns.

Far too low
There is no doubt that Stoke’s bid for Thomas-Asante is well below market value given what some first-team forwards across the division have been going for in recent years.
The striker is pretty indispensable to West Brom at the moment due to the lack of options Carlos Corberan currently has at his disposal up front.
With Josh Maja still getting up to speed following his move from Bordeaux, Thomas-Asante has been pretty much carrying the burden of leading the line for the Baggies on his own.

He’s also done a pretty good job after scoring three goals in four games to build upon the nine strikes he registered last season in his debut campaign for Albion following his move from Salford City.
It’s likely Stoke are just trying to take advantage of the Baggies’ financial problems by making a low offer, but the club should try and fend off any interest unless they receive a much bigger fee for him.
