West Brom in last-gasp battle against Norwich City to sign Bournemouth forward Jamal Lowe – Sky Sports
West Brom are in a battle with Norwich City to land a deal for Bournemouth forward Jamal Lowe, according to Sky Sports.
The news outlet reported on its live transfer feed on 31 August (01:46pm) that the Canaries are the front-runners to sign the 29-year-old, with a loan deal being discussed but the Premier League side favouring a permanent sale.
It said the Baggies are amongst a group of Championship clubs that are monitoring the Jamaican international’s situation as they look to do some late business.

Go for it
It’s no surprise to see a number of clubs have been keeping an eye on Lowe’s situation as he has proven himself previously to be a solid Championship player.
After arriving at Bournemouth in September 2021 from Swansea City, the forward scored seven goals and laid on two assists in 39 appearances to help them achieve promotion back up to the Premier League.
But his chances have been limited on the south coast since then, with the Jamaican heading out on loan to QPR in January, where he registered three goals and two assists in 20 games.

The forward has been frozen out by new Cherries boss Andoni Iraola and he should be available for a fairly modest fee as the deadline approaches.
Carlos Corberan has been keen to add to his attacking options during this window and, with Lowe being able to lead the line or play out wide, he could be the ideal man to bring in.
