West Brom transfer news as Jamal Lowe now available for late move
Bournemouth attacker Jamal Lowe has been made surplus to requirements at the Vitality Stadium, with West Brom looking at a late move, according to The Star.
The newspaper shared on its website on 31 August that the Baggies are joined by fellow Championship outfits Norwich, Stoke and Sheffield Wednesday, as well as Scottish Premiership side Hibernian, in the race for his signature.
This report comes shortly after Sky Sports [31 August, 13:46] shared that a loan deal has been discussed, although the Premier League side would prefer to let him go permanently, with Norwich the current frontrunner.

Exciting option
While Lowe may not have been able to cut it in the Premier League for Bournemouth, he has proved he is worth every penny at Championship level. Despite a lacklustre showing on loan at QPR in the second half of last season, when he scored just three goals in 20 appearances, his record speaks for itself.
When Bournemouth achieved promotion in the 2021/22 season, Lowe was a key part of their attack and scored seven goals while providing two assists. The season before, with Swansea City, the forward scored 14 goals.
He is able to play across the front three, as a striker or on either wing, proving some much-needed versatility to the Baggies’ front line, where he could contribute in all three positions should they find themselves short of options due to injuries or fixture congestion.

His dynamism and speed could add something different to the front three, alongside new signings Jeremy Sarmiento and Josh Maja, as well as Brandon Thomas-Asante and eventually Daryl Dike upon his return from injury – all of whom are options Lowe could link up well alongside.
This is a late one to watch.
In other West Brom news, the club are targeting a move for an in-demand defender before the deadline.
