Ethan Ingram signs off on West Brom exit today – Fabrizio Romano
West Brom right-back Ethan Ingram is set for a move to Salford City on a season-long loan, with the England U21 international having signed a deal, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Romano shared via his Twitter account that the deal is done and Ingram is set to sign “now” to spend the season on loan in League Two to gain some first-team experience.
This is the latest in a number of possible outgoings for the Baggies, after a busy summer of players being linked away from the club as they aim to balance the books amid a sticky financial situation, with player sales a priority.
The least of their concerns
This move will be a good one for Ingram, as he can gain more first-team experience at a relatively high level, as Salford look to be competitive in League Two. The 20-year-old has only previously made three senior appearances.
An academy graduate leaving the club on loan is likely to be the least of the worries at West Brom before the transfer window closes later on today, with a number of first-team players having also been linked to exits, including star names Brandon Thomas-Asante [MailSport] and John Swift [Tom Collomosse].
Thomas-Asante has been Carlos Corberan’s first-choice striker this season, given the injury to Daryl Dike which will see him ruled out for the foreseeable future, while new signing Josh Maja is yet to reach full fitness and has only appeared sparingly so far.

Swift, meanwhile, is a key cog in Corberan’s midfield and is likely to be one of their star players for the coming season. Should he leave, it would be damaging to their hopes of reaching the playoffs this year.
In other West Brom news, Corberan has spoken out about a potential outgoing on deadline day.
