West Brom talks ongoing as funds available to complete deadline-day signings
There are funds available for West Brom to bring in at least one new signing on deadline day, according to The Express and Star.
The newspaper reported on its website on 1 September that talks are ongoing and the Baggies have lined up their targets as Carlos Corberan looks to strengthen his squad before the window slams shut at 11pm on Friday.
It said that exits remain the priority, though, as Albion continue to try and balance the books due to the ongoing financial issues surrounding the club.

Frustrating
It has to be incredibly frustrating for Corberan to learn that outgoings are still the priority after he has already shipped out a number of players since the end of last season.
The Spanish boss has only been granted permission to bring in two players so far this summer, with Josh Maja signing on a permanent deal from Bordeaux and Jeremy Sarmiento drafted in on loan from Brighton.
He will, however, be hopeful of getting at least one player through the door at the Hawthorns, with the Express and Star reporting that there are some funds available.

The newspaper said that Albion remain interested in American international Reggie Cannon, who is a free agent after leaving Portuguese side Boavista in June, meaning the right-back could be signed after the deadline passes if need be.
In terms of exits, the club are keen to move on Grady Diangana to raise some cash, but they haven’t had any offers for the winger yet.
In other West Brom news, the club are in the hunt for a Premier League forward.
