West Brom transfer news as Ludogorets defender Pipa undergoes medical

Ludogorets defender Pipa underwent his medical in London on 1 September as West Brom are set to sign him on a season-long loan, according to Lewis Cox.

The Express and Star journalist took to Twitter to report the news as the 25-year-old is now set to move to the Hawthorns.

There were also no approaches made to sign free agent Reggie Cannon.

Via Twitter, Cox wrote, “Spaniard underwent his Albion medical in London today. There were no approaches to sign free agent Reggie Cannon.”

Good news

Josh Maja and Jeremy Sarmiento joined this summer and now this will be their third signing.

Darnell Furlong is certainly not a quality option at right-back and fans were getting anxious that the club will not sign someone in that position.

They now have got their man and Pipa does seem to be a decent option who may even start ahead of Furlong.

This is good news for Carlos Corberan as he will have grown frustrated by the lack of ambition shown by the club this summer.

West Brom

Taking them within touching distance of the play-offs was a big achievement last season and that could’ve been a foundation to build upon.

Hopefully, Pipa goes on to have a good season and help take the Baggies to the next level.

All eyes are now on the club’s Twitter handle as they should hope to get everything down in time before the 11pm deadline.
