Sky Sports pundit predicts West Brom clash v Huddersfield
David Prutton has predicted West Brom to win by a comfortable 2-0 scoreline in their Championship clash against Huddersfield on 2 September.
The Sky Sports host has backed the Baggies to continue their good form ahead of the first international break of the season across the next two weeks.
The last time these two sides faced at the Hawthorns, West Brom ran out 1-0 victors, with John Swift on the scoresheet as the tie was decided by a penalty.

Speaking on the Sky Sports Championship Predictions podcast, host Simeon Gholam shared: “Huddersfield are winless in their last three league visits to West Brom; they haven’t won there since a trip in the Premier League in February 2018. What is the score going to be at The Hawthorns?”
To this, Prutton shared his prediction, keeping it short and simply stating: “Baggies two, Huddersfield nil.”
Baggies’ home form will be the difference
West Brom’s home form under Carlos Corberan will likely make the difference in this one, as Huddersfield don’t seem to have enough to overcome the midlands side. The visitors have failed to win a single game this season and have conceded twelve goals in their four games so far.

An astonishing statistic came out about West Brom shortly after their home victory over Middlesborough on 26 August, which detailed that, since Corberan’s arrival in October 2022, the Baggies have won more points at home than any other side.
This form has continued into this season, having won both of their home games so far after overcoming Middlesbrough 4-2 on 26 August and Swansea 3-2 on 12 August. Huddersfield’s only point this season came on the road, but it doesn’t look like they will be able to get anything from this one.
After conceding twelve and scoring just four from their four games so far, Huddersfield’s late run under Neil Warnock last season doesn’t seem to have carried over, and they will be in for a tough time again this weekend.
In other West Brom news, a Premier League attacker has been made surplus to requirements as the Baggies lurk.
