West Brom have had a mixed start to the new Championship season, with the club sitting 11th in the table after five matches.

Carlos Corberan’s men have picked up impressive wins against Swansea City and Middlesbrough, but have lost to Blackburn Rovers and Huddersfield Town.

A draw against Leeds United meanwhile means they have seven points so far, six behind league leaders Preston North End.

There have been a few standout individuals for the Baggies, one of which is attacker John Swift, who boasts three goals from his five appearances.

The 28-year-old, who has shown his versatility alongside his goalscoring knack, netted against Swansea, Middlesbrough and Huddersfield, putting him joint-second in the Championship scoring charts for the new season. But the West Brom ace does sit top of the list when it comes to both goal conversion and shot accuracy.

As per BBC Sport, Swift has scored three goals from his three shots, leaving him with a 100% shot accuracy and a 100% goal conversion rate.

Queens Park Rangers man Jack Colback is the only other player on the list with such figures, but the midfielder has two goals to his name as opposed to three.

Swift has been a bright spark for Corberan, and he is certain to continue to be a key player for the club as they push for promotion.

Unfortunately, however, it seems that the international break has come at the worst time for the attacker, whose momentum could take a hit before the Albion return to action at Bristol City next Saturday (16 September).
