West Brom predicted XI v Bristol City – Carlos Corberan makes Pipa debut call

Carlos Corberan will be looking to ensure West Brom return to winning ways after the international break when they take on Bristol City in the Championship.

The Baggies went into the break on the back of a 2-1 defeat at home to Huddersfield Town and find themselves sitting in 11th place.

They will now travel to Ashton Gate to take on Bristol and could hand a debut to their deadline day signing Pipa.

Anyone watching the Baggies over the last six to 12 months will have been sick of the sight of Darnell Furlong being the first-choice right-back.

Funds weren’t available to sign a replacement permanently but they turned to Ludogorets to sign their Spanish right-back on a loan deal.

Bartley was withdrawn in the second half of the loss against Huddersfield but is expected to be fit enough for this contest.

Nathaniel Chalobah may come into the heart of midfield for Jayson Molumby as he was tidy in possession after coming off the bench against Huddersfield and won both his ground duels and his one aerial duel in comparison to Molumby losing all three aerial duels and three out of four ground ones. Jeremy Sarmiento has been signed on loan from Brighton for a reason and we’re expecting him to come in place of Matt Phillips and start on the left wing.

Josh Maja will also be pushing for a start but Brandon Thomas-Asante is expected to retain his place in the starting eleven.
