Carlos Coberan issues update on two West Brom stars, shares ‘excellent’ admission
Carlos Corberan has revealed the international break has been “excellent” for West Brom as they prepare to face Bristol City on Saturday (16 September).
Speaking to BirminghamLive on Friday (15 September), the Albion boss said the break has provided the opportunity to recover and that the players are “looking forward” to the game at Ashton Gate.
He added that Jayson Molumby and Semi Ajayi have both “come back well” from international duty with the Republic of Ireland and Nigeria, having trained with the rest of the Baggies players from Wednesday onwards.

“Molumby and Ajayi have both come back well,” said Corberan. “Molumby only played the first 60 minutes against France in the first game and didn’t play the second. Ajayi played the full game with Nigeria and the only game that he had to play.
“Both have come back in good condition and have been training Wednesday, Thursday and Friday with the group.
“Fortunately, it has been an excellent two weeks of work, of recovery first and we are looking forward to playing this next game.”
Positive
It sounds as though Corberan is in really positive spirits as he revealed that he is looking forward to the game against Bristol City.
The international break has provided him with the opportunity to work with his players and iron out any potential issues he may have noticed in the opening few games of the season.
He will have been disappointed with the way the last match ended, with Huddersfield Town scoring a late winner as they earned a 2-1 victory at the Hawthorns.

That will have been playing on most of the players’ minds over the past couple of weeks and they will no doubt be desperate to go out there and put things right at Ashton Gate.
Corberan will be pleased to have Molumby and Ajayi back without any issues and he will be hoping they can both play a key role in picking up a positive result against the Robins at the weekend.
In other West Brom news, two players could be in line to receive more minutes in the side.
