West Brom exit mooted for ‘struggling’ Nathaniel Chalobah as ‘new challenge’ claim made
Nathaniel Chalobah may look for a “new challenge elsewhere” and leave West Brom in January, according to Football League World journalist Jamie Denley.
The midfielder arrived on an 18-month deal from West London outfit Fulham in January of this year, with his contract expiring next summer.
He has made a total of 19 appearances for the Baggies, with six of those arriving under Carlos Corberan this season.

“A late January arrival, Chalobah’s time at the club has not gone to plan so far and almost departed this summer,” Denley wrote for Football League World.
“The former Chelsea and Fulham midfielder joined on an 18-month deal and played 13 times as he struggled to break the existing Jayson Molumby and Okay Yokuslu partnership.
“While a move to Maccabi Haifa in July fell through, with the former England international struggling to break into the starting picture, he may look to end his short stay in the West Midlands and seek a new challenge elsewhere.”

January exit?
It remains to be seen exactly what Corberan has planned for the former Chelsea and Watford midfielder at The Hawthorns.
The 28-year-old is by no means surplus to requirements, having been used by his manager in almost every West Brom match this season.
Whether it be from the start or from the bench, it seems that Chalobah does have a place in this current Albion squad.
But regular minutes do seem hard to come by, and the player may just want a more stable position on the pitch at this stage of his career.
A January exit could be on the cards, but for now all he can do is work hard behind the scenes and try and force his way into Corberan’s immediate thinking.
There is, of course, a long list of Championship matches between now and the January transfer window, and a lot can change between now and then.
