West Brom midfielder Adam Reach unlikely to return to training for seven weeks – Injury Expert

We’re delighted to welcome injury expert Dr Rajpal Brar as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the injury situation at West Brom...

West Brom midfielder Adam Reach is not likely to return to training until the middle of November, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert has explained that his current setback is something that’s happened previously and it’s a recurrence of that.

He limped off in pre-season due to a quadriceps injury and recently underwent surgery as well so is likely to take it easy in the coming days.

Speaking exclusively with West Brom News about Reach’s injury, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said:

His injury is a recurrence of a quadriceps injury that first occurred in April.

It sounds like his return timeline is targeted for somewhere in December so mid to late November for light training could be a reasonable goal.

Considering he had surgery recently, he’s likely taking it quite easy for the next coming days.

The 30-year-old played in 18 league games for the Baggies last season and has not been available to feature this time around.

Reach is a utility player and has operated as a defender as well in the past for West Brom.

His deal at the Hawthorns expires at the end of the season so it remains to be seen if the hierarchy decides to hand him an extension.
