David Prutton predicts result of West Brom showdown v Preston for Sky Sports
David Prutton has predicted that West Brom will extend their winless run to five matches as he believes Preston North End will come out on top when the two sides face each other on Saturday 30 September.
The Sky Sports presenter believes that Ryan Lowe’s side will continue their unbeaten start to the Championship season when they welcome the Baggies to Deepdale, suggesting Preston will run out 2-1 winners, in his Championship predictions.
Corberan’s side are yet to win in September, having lost to Huddersfield before the international break, before drawing in each of their last three matches against Bristol City, Watford and Millwall.

The Baggies have struggled on their travels so far this season and are still searching for their first away win of the campaign, while Preston are the only side in England’s second tier yet to drop points at home, winning all four of their games at Deepdale this season.
Tough task
When you’re not in the best of form, there are few teams you’d like to face less than Preston and few grounds you’d like to be playing against them at than Deepdale. Corberan couldn’t have asked for a tougher match to try and kickstart the Baggies’ indifferent campaign.
They’ve shown in their last three games that they have the ability to put in a really solid performance, their attacking play against Watford was exciting whereas their defensive displays against Bristol City and Millwall earned them credit.

Now it is just about putting both parts of the game together to try and find that complete performance from front to back, something we haven’t seen from Corberan’s side since the 4-2 win over Middlesbrough back in August.
With the forward options limited and Brandon Thomas-Asante the only recognised fit striker at The Hawthorns, Corberan has to find a way to get the former Salford man to score more goals. He’s struggled to convert his chances but with Josh Maja and Daryl Dike still sidelined, he is going to have to provide the goods.
Hopefully, West Brom can prove Prutton wrong and be the team to finally end Preston’s unbeaten home streak, after all, they have as good a chance as anyone else.
