David Prutton predicts result of West Brom showdown v Sheffield Wednesday for Sky Sports

David Prutton has predicted the outcome of the Championship clash between West Brom and Sheffield Wednesday on Tuesday 3 October at The Hawthorns.

West Brom will hope they can build on a remarkable scoreline which is undoubtedly one of the results of the season so far when they triumphed over high-flying Preston North End at Deepdale 4-0 on Saturday (30 September).

The Baggies will be happy to find themselves up in eighth despite a somewhat inconsistent start so far this campaign, entering the midweek matchday clashes just three points shy of the playoffs.

West Brom

Sky Sports host Prutton, in his predictions for the Championship games in midweek (2 October) has backed Corberan and his men to stretch their unbeaten run to five games with a “2-0” win over Wednesday.

Expect three points

West Brom were picture-perfect in their 4-0 win over Preston at Deepdale over the weekend, providing a timely reminder to their rivals in the division that they cannot be forgotten about so soon into the season.

Sheffield Wednesday are on a dreadful run of results so far this campaign, sitting at the bottom of the Championship table with just two points to their name from nine games so far.

West Brom

Certainly, it’s so difficult to predict games in the English second division but it will be massively disappointing if West Brom aren’t able to win their second game on the bounce on Tuesday and before the game, Corberan must demand the three points.

Anything less than that will be a grave concern against a team low on confidence in all phases of their game right now and there’s a case to argue that not even complacency can stop West Brom winning this game the way Xisco Munoz’s men are performing right now.

However, the fans will be demanding and expecting a continued sparkling showing from Saturday’s 4-0 riot and of course a comfortable three points as the Baggies look to get in amongst the early play-off/promotion action in the Championship.

It’s got to be win or win for Corberan and West Brom for this one.

In other West Brom news, Corberan has explained a “crazy” decision he made against Preston.
