Daryl Dike sends two-word message as ex-West Brom teammate Tom Rogic announces retirement
Daryl Dike has sent a two-word message to former West Brom teammate Tom Rogic after he announced his retirement.
The Australian has called time on his footballing career to focus on family life, having left The Hawthorns in the summer.
The 30-year-old joined the Albion from Scottish Premiership side Celtic in the summer of 2022, making 23 appearances for the club.

Taking to social media to announce his retirement, Rogic posted on Instagram: “Given our past and how hard we have fought for this, along with the challenges that will come with having twins and a two-year-old, now seems like the right time to give my focus and attention to what is the most important thing in my life – my family.”
Among those commenting on the social media post was his former Baggies teammate Dike, who wrote: “Congrats roggy.”

Albion memories
Rogic wasn’t at The Hawthorns for very long, but he still left a mark at the Championship club, with the midfielder producing some top moments during his spell there.
But he will be remembered more fondly for his trophy-laden spell in Scotland with Celtic, where he won plenty of silverware and chipped in with several important goals along the way.
At 30, his retirement may come as a surprise to many, but the Australian has laid out the reasons behind his decision very clearly.
The Albion utilised his creativity in midfield at times last season, with his fellow midfielders Jayson Molumby, Alex Mowatt and Okay Yokuslu currently tasked with that role this time around.
And they are doing a great job under manager Carlos Corberan, with the Baggies currently sitting eighth in the Championship table following their stunning 4-0 win away to high-flying Preston North End on Saturday (30 September).
In other West Brom news, one player blew Preston away with an 88% all-round masterclass in the club’s 4-0 win.
