West Brom predicted XI v Plymouth Argyle: Carlos Corberan to drop Darnell Furlong

Carlos Corberan will need to ring in some changes as West Brom will look to return to winning ways against Plymouth Argyle at Hawthorns on 21 October.

The Baggies suffered a disappointing 3-1 defeat against Birmingham City before the international break and appeared toothless at times.

Despite taking the lead, they failed to seize their advantage and ended up paying the price for it.

Corberan will be enforced into one change as John Swift has picked up an injury and is expected to be out for a few weeks.

This is definitely a blow for the Baggies as he’s one of their best players and attacking threats.

In defence, Erik Pieters was hooked off at half time and there’s a chance that Semi Ajayi is given the chance to play in his place.

West Brom

Conor Townsend replaced him v Birmingham but that was a change of system and if he wants to play a 3-4-2-1, then Ajayi is the obvious choice.

Darnell Furlong too, has struggled at right wing-back and it may be time to give Pipa an extended run in the team.
He was signed on transfer deadline day and it’s about time Corberan looks to get the best out of him.

Hopefully, the Baggies start picking up wins and get back into the play-off picture once again.
