David Prutton predicts result in West Brom v QPR for Sky Sports

David Prutton has predicted that West Brom will return to winning ways at The Hawthorns on Tuesday (24 October) when they take on QPR.

The Baggies fell to a controversial 3-1 defeat to Birmingham City prior to the international break and played out a 0-0 draw against Plymouth Argyle at the weekend.

However, providing his Championship predictions for Sky Sports on Monday (23 October), Prutton backed Carlos Corberan’s side to prevail 2-0 against QPR in their midweek tussle.

Keep the faith

West Brom may have taken just one point from their past two games, but they are still in a healthy ninth place in the Championship.

Indeed, should results go their way over the coming days – including a home win against struggling QPR – they could move into the play-offs.

Albion then turn focus to games with Coventry City and Hull City over the next couple of weeks – two more winnable fixtures on the face of it.

There were murmurings of discontent following the stalemate with Plymouth on Saturday (21 October), but supporters must keep the faith.

Corberan is doing a fine job in difficult circumstances by ensuring the Baggies remain competitive and in promotion contention.

The visit of QPR is a fairly pivotal fixture in that regard as the result will heavily determine the mood of the fanbase.

Three points against the side in 22nd place and supporters will have very little to be upset about.

In other West Brom news, Chris Lepkowski has outlined a “quite significant” issue Corberan has had to deal with this season.
