Reliable journalist shares what West Brom fans did to Nathaniel Chalobah in Coventry City clash

Lewis Cox has shared what the West Brom fans did to Nathaniel Chalobah as he was withdrawn in the 53rd minute v Coventry City.

The Express & Star journalist, who was in attendance at the CBS Arena, claims that the fans applauded the Baggies midfielder.

Chalobah did have a nervy first half, but was still cheered on by the travelling support on Monday, 30 October.

Cox wrote on Twitter, “Haji Wright slides wide for Coventry one-on-one in on goal.

“Thomas-Asante introduced for Chalobah, walking tightrope with the yellow. Applause from away end.”

Good move

Bringing Thomas-Asante on was a good move by Corberan as it wasn’t the best of games for Chalobah.

The 24-year-old offered a lot more energy off the bench and gave the Baggies some more control in possession.

West Brom

The Baggies were tremendously lucky as Coventry had numerous chances to find the back of the net, but they were extremely wasteful on the night.

If Corberan’s side go on to secure the three points, they will end up in the top six – a good position to be in after 14 games.

They will also have lost just three games and given the summer they’ve had, it’s a good position to be in for the Baggies.

It remains to be seen if they can hold on as it’s going to be a nervy end to this game.
