Carlos Corberan shares how he really feels about West Brom fans
Carlos Corberan has shared his hope to earn the greatest possible achievements at West Brom after feeling the love of the fans as soon as he arrived.
The Spaniard has built a strong affinity to the club since he arrived a little over a year ago and now says he is committed to making the fans feel represented by his side on the pitch.
The ultimate goal, Corberan claims, is to get the club back to where it deserves to be, in the Premier League. He also shared his delight and pride at being the manager at The Hawthorns.

Speaking to Spanish news outlet Panenka [15 November], Corberan shared: “West Bromwich is a great team that I am delighted to work for. From the first day, I have felt the love of the fans.
“I have the hope of giving the entity the greatest possible achievements. That in each game people feel represented by what we do and that they see that our commitment to the game is maximum.
“Every time I train, I do it for that. And I hope I can return the team to the category in which for me it deserves to be.”
The boss just gets it
There is something about Corberan and his connection with West Brom where you can tell he just gets what it means to represent Albion. His comments about the club and the fans have always been passionate and about delivering on their behalf, not for personal gain.
For many managers, especially in the Championships, that bond simply isn’t there. They want to win games, of course, and they want to be successful, but the connection between the fans and the manager doesn’t arrive the way it has with the boss.

This connection was summed up following the defeat to Southampton where fans applauded their team off of the pitch despite the result, with that mutual respect building a strong foundation for success.
If the fans are on board with everything the manager says and does, it will always be a recipe for a strong culture at the club. Even when things are going badly, the backing is there, and these new comments will only further that strong bond between them.
In other West Brom news, one loanee could be set for a reunion.
