Boyhood West Brom fan Aaron Ramsdale now top target for Wolves in January transfer window
Boyhood West Brom fan Aaron Ramsdale has emerged as the top target for Wolves in the January transfer window, according to the Sunday Mirror, in what appears to be a nonsense rumour.
The newspaper shared in their print edition [26 November, pg 70] that the Arsenal goalkeeper’s future is uncertain following the arrival of David Raya from Brentford and Wolves want him to be their number one.
Ramsdale, who has been open about his support for Albion, seems unlikely to be in favour of a move to their Black Country rivals even despite his lack of game time at The Emirates.

Whenever Ramsdale plays against Wolves he likes to give the fans plenty of stick and get involved in winding them up, with his Baggies allegiances playing a part in the banter between the player and the supporters, but while it remains light-hearted, there is surely some contempt from both sides.
You wouldn’t imagine Wolves fans being particularly happy at bringing in somebody who openly supports their arch-rivals and has given them plenty of stick in the past on top of that, just as Ramsdale may have reservations over a move to Molineux.
This was typified following the Gunners’ Premier League victory over Wolves on 10 February 2022, as the keeper dished out a “boing boing” celebration you’d normally associate with the Baggies in the direction of the Wolves supporters before going down the tunnel. [Birmingham Live]

So, as much as Ramsdale may be discontented with the situation he has found himself at The Emirates and may well leave in search of playing time, it’s difficult to see him lining up in Wolves colours given the history between himself and their fans.
