Action For Albion respond to confirmed West Brom takeover update on Monday
Action for Albion reacted to Monday’s takeover update from the West Brom official website as the club continues to work on a solution for new owners.
The club announced that further funding has been secured from American lender MSD UK Holdings Limited, adding to the £20 million loan from December 2022, which further exacerbates the worry surrounding the Baggies.
Chairman Guochuan Lai continues to engage with parties interested in purchasing a majority shareholding but fans are beginning to become more impatient with the situation.

The fan-led website wrote on Monday (27 November), “Today’s news reiterates the need for a full and complete takeover as soon as is practicably possible.
“Although this news may be understandable in the context of reported positive negotiations for new owners, increased debt is clearly a risk for a Club in our position, so we will be seeking dialogue with the Club to more fully understand this development and its implications.
“It is our belief that we should give the time to ensure that negotiations are concluded as quickly as possible.”
A stressful time ahead
As more and more time passes, the interest on loans will only continue to build up and create more complications for the future. Lack of funds is always a scary thought when it comes to football, especially looking back at several clubs that saw administration as their only option, such as Bury.

Of course, West Brom are lightyears away from any situation where that would come into effect. But it is still an unwanted distraction hovering over the club as Carlos Corberan aims to lead them back to the Premier League.
This is currently one of the best feelings in and around the club in recent history, not just on the pitch with good results, but also with the bond between the club and the fans.
Corberan is able to take some of the praise for the atmosphere currently, with good results leading the club to fifth in the table, occupying one of the play-off spots.
There are still many games left to be played, and lots of difficult matches along the way, but the feel-good factor at the Hawthorns is here to stay for the time being. And being able to find a way in which the money situation can be fixed before things get worse, would feel like a weight lifted off everyone’s shoulders.
