Mo Faal could take West Brom by storm after recent 100% performances on loan
West Brom youngster Mo Faal has put in some top performances while out on loan with Doncaster, setting himself up to take The Hawthorns by storm upon his return next season.
The 20-year-old has racked up six goals in League Two this season, with three of those coming in his last five league games, and his form has begun to pick up as he gains more experience.
Brandon Thomas-Asante spoke about Faal in pre-season, telling fans to “be excited” about the striker who he believes could have a place in the side in the future. [Express & Star, 24 July]

Faal has been a regular starter for his loan club, with 17 league appearances so far, helping him to gain vital experience at senior level and at a higher level than he has played in previously as he looks to set himself up for a step into the Albion side.
Having scored in his last game against Crewe Alexandra, Faal’s performance was one of a diamond in the rough. Not everything he did came off perfectly, but he showed energy and desire to make things happen.
With six shots taken in the game, Faal hit the target with two, missed the target with two, and saw two blocked. He attempted seven dribbles, completing two of them, and fired three crosses into the box. His 100% aerial duel success rate stood out, as he gave the ball away 21 times. [Sofascore]

This type of energetic raw performance is a positive sign of his confidence, and he did find the back of the net in the game, but it also shows the fact he has a way to go before he is ready for Championship football where consistency and reliability are more important than just trying to make things happen.
In other West Brom news, a nonsense rumour has linked a Baggies fan with a move to Wolves.
