Grady Diangana must be due for West Brom contract talks after 88% display in 2-0 win v Ipswich Town
West Brom continued their fine campaign under Carlos Corberan with a superb 2-0 win against Ipswich Town on Saturday (25 November).
Darnell Furlong and Grady Diangana were the heroes of the day at The Hawthorns, although it was a real team performance that helped the hosts clinch all three points.
The Baggies handed Ipswich just their second defeat of the current Championship campaign, with Corberan’s men sitting fifth in the table with 29 points from their 17 games.

And while it was a team display at The Hawthorns, the efforts of Diangana cannot be overlooked, with the attacker adding an 88% passing accuracy to his goal, having completed 35 of his 40 passes [Sofascore].
It was by no means a perfect performance from the DR Congo international, who only won one of his four duels during his 71 minutes on the pitch, with Diangana also picking up a yellow card.
Corberan will, however, not focus too much on the latter area, with the boss certain to be delighted at Diangana’s recent displays in front of goal.

The 25-year-old now has three goals and three assists to his name this season, playing a key role in the club’s strong run lately.
And while it may not be a priority right now, Corberan may have to start considering the attacker’s future at The Hawthorns, with Diangana’s contract expiring in June 2025 [Transfermarkt].
Some stability may just take the player to another level, and the Baggies could do a lot worse than having an attacker like Diangana among their ranks for the long term.
In other West Brom news, a new contract is not on the cards for one “excellent” Baggies man after a recent development at The Hawthorns.
