Jed Wallace re-injured same shoulder in West Brom blow for Leicester City clash as months-long ‘worst case scenario’ emerges
Jed Wallace’s injured shoulder is the same one the West Brom star hurt previously and has left him a doubt to face Leicester City, according to Express & Star.
The paper reported via their website on 1 December that the captain’s potential unavailability for the clash with the Championship leaders a day later was a “blow”, and it was “understood” the injury that forced him out of the win against Cardiff on 28 November was damage to the same site as a previous issue.
With Carlos Corberan ill there was no pre-match press conference ahead of the early Saturday kick-off at the Hawthorns so the manager hasn’t provided a full update on Wallace’s status, but the belief around the winger is a concern.

Express & Star further suggested that the “worst-case scenario” with such a shoulder problem could lead to months out of action, amid a hope that the 29-year-old does not fit into that category.
Adversity
As skipper and key man it goes without saying that Wallace is close to the last player Corberan would choose to be without for the visit of the top team in the division.
The Foxes’ invincible image has slipped in recent weeks after back-to-back defeats to Leeds United and Middlesbrough, and their draw at Sheffield Wednesday last time out will have the Baggies believing they can inflict another blow.
With West Brom having climbed to fifth in the table and one win from third they are very much in the conversation for at least a play-off place come the end of the season.

Corberan will be increasingly used to plotting a course up the league despite being undermanned as he has dealt with injury issues in attack throughout the season.
So while an absence for Wallace can’t be dressed up as a positive in any way it likely won’t come as such a shock to the Albion boss.
A positive result against Enzo Maresca’s side this weekend would be the latest statement that this side could be going places under Corberan, and with an impending takeover raising hopes of an end to off-field turmoil for the first time in a long time there is a definite positive feeling around The Hawthorns at the moment.
In other West Brom news, the takeover “clock is ticking” with £26million mooted to have already been spent.
