Carlos Corberan left enraged in clash with Enzo Maresca after West Brom showdown v Leicester City
West Brom manager Carlos Corberan has been spotted refusing to shake hands with Enzo Marseca following the Baggies’ late defeat to Leicester City, as pictured by Sky Sports.
The broadcaster posted a video to its Twitter account on Saturday (2 December) that seemed to show the Spaniard in a rage with the Foxes boss as he headed straight down the tunnel at The Hawthorns, rather than shaking Maresca’s hand.
Corberan’s side looked to have taken a point from the Championship leaders thanks to Josh Maja’s first goal in Albion colours, only for Harry Winks to finish off a counterattack for the visitors deep into injury time to take all three points back to the King Power.
There didn’t seem to be anything particularly controversial in the match to leave Corberan so enraged following the final whistle, but is clear from the video that he was visibly unhappy with something that was eventually directed towards Maresca.
Late late drama
It is only natural that tensions would have been high in the West Brom dugout after the Baggies conceded a late goal to decide the contest, but it feels slightly out of character from Corberan to see him so visibly irate on the touchline.
The Baggies were the masters of their own downfall as they threw men forward in search of a winner. A point against the league leaders would have been a great result, especially having already come from behind once and Albion should have settled for that result.

There is every chance that Corberan could have been frustrated that his side was as careless as they were in the final minutes of the game, but given how meticulous he normally is in his tactical work, it feels unlikely that the Baggies would have flung men forward without it being his plan.
Ultimately, tensions always will be high after such late drama in a match, and it just seems that Corberan was unable to keep a lid on it at The Hawthorns on Saturday.
The best thing about the Championship is that he doesn’t have long to wait to put it right next time out.
