Tony Brown: Carlos Corberan ‘won’t be too happy’ after what happened in West Brom v Leicester City
Tony Brown believes West Brom boss Carlos Corberan wouldn’t have been happy with his team’s passing in the first half against Leicester City.
The Baggies hosted the Foxes at The Hawthorns in their Championship clash on Saturday (2 December), which ended 2-1 to the visitors.
Brown made the comment early in the first half of the match, which came to life in the second half with goals from Josh Maja for the Albion and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Harry Winks for the Foxes.

“This is a high-pressure game, but it is what you would expect from top of the table sides,” Brown said on BBC Radio WM (12.49pm, 2 December), as quoted by BBC Sport.
“Carlos Corberan won’t be too happy with his Albion side’s passing. When it is tight like this, you just have to knock a ball beyond the defence of Leicester and get a runner from midfield in behind.”

Tough game
It was always going to be a very tough game for the Baggies given how they were welcoming the league leaders to The Hawthorns.
Leicester have been flying this season under Enzo Maresca, and look very likely of making a quick return to the Premier League following last season’s relegation.
But the Albion have also been impressing in the current Championship campaign as they look to get back to the big time.
Corberan will be delighted with his side’s displays this season, but they need to continue their strong performances for a lengthy period if they are to have any chance of returning to the top flight.
The Championship is extremely competitive as always, with several clubs in with a chance of making the play-offs this season.
They won’t give up on a top two spot, but it will take a mammoth effort to overtake the Foxes and Ipswich Town in the coming months.
In other West Brom news, one Baggies ace must be due for contract talks after his 88% display in the recent 2-0 win against Ipswich.
