Doctor issues surgery update on West Brom attacker Jed Wallace

We’re delighted to welcome injury expert Dr Rajpal Brar as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the injury situation at West Brom...

West Brom attacker Jed Wallace is not expected to require surgery as he remains out of action with a shoulder injury, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert claims that it’s not a dislocation and he should be closing in on his first-team return for the Baggies.

It’s expected that he should be back in training next week and then the medical staff will assess his situation.

Speaking exclusively with West Brom News about Wallace’s injury, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said:

Highly unlikely to be a dislocation or need surgery as he’d be looking at much longer time out.

If the timeline given initially is correct, expect him to be back in first team training in around a week or two if there are any other setbacks

“He’ll surely be in contention at least for games next week.”

The 29-year-old has been among the first names on the team sheet for Carlos Corberan’s side this season.

He’s played 18 league games and chipped in with two goals and three assists to the Baggies’ cause.

He should be back by mid December and Corberan will be counting on his services during a tricky festive period.

In other West Brom news, a near £7billion development may shape the club’s January plans with Carlos Corberan to be demanding.
