Doctor shares if Jeremy Sarmiento at risk of missing West Brom v Rotherham

We’re delighted to welcome injury expert Dr Rajpal Brar as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the injury situation at West Brom...

West Brom attacker Jeremy Sarmiento’s training is not expected to have his training routines altered, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert has reacted to what happened in the Baggies clash against Cardiff City at the end of November when he had nosebleeds.

However, it should not keep him out of the game against Rotherham on 12 December and he also played on Saturday against Sunderland.

Speaking exclusively with West Brom News about Sarmiento’s situation, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said: “There is not much in it as it can happen due to exertion.

Don’t think the medical staff will look into it unless it’s a recurring issue.

It shouldn’t even impact his training routines or keep him out of games and he even played after that.

The weather can play a role too.

Sarmiento has played a bit-part role this season under Carlos Corberan but is expected to play a key role in the coming weeks.

While he may have made 15 league appearances this term, just four of them have been from the opening whistle of games.

He’s scored two goals thus far and will be looking to add to his goal tally for this season and guide the Baggies to promotion.

In other West Brom news, a near £7billion development may shape the club’s January plans with Carlos Corberan to be demanding.
