Tony Brown slams West Brom defender Pipa for what he did after coming off bench v Stoke
Tony Brown slammed Pipa for his lack of concentration not long after the West Brom full-back came off the bench in the 1-1 draw with Stoke at The Hawthorns on Sunday.
Pipa, 25, was beaten to a loose ball on the edge of the penalty area and that led to a shot at goal by Stoke by Josh Laurent.
Brown accused the Spaniard of not being fully focused on his defensive duties after the away side’s chance to win the Championship game went wayward.

Speaking on BBC Radio WM on Sunday (2 December, 01:41pm), Bomber Brown said: “He was sleeping then, Pipa. He got caught out there.
“He saw the danger late and it was Laurent who got the strike out but he hit it over the bar.
“Stoke are in the ascendancy and Albion can’t get out of their own half.”

Not good enough
Pipa was always signed as a utility player for West Brom.
He joined on transfer deadline day from Ludogorets after previously playing for Carlos Corberan at Huddersfield and Olympiakos.
However, Pipa has started just one game this season when he was named at right-back in the 2-0 win at Coventry. Away from that, he’s been used as a sub six times.
But if he wants to cement his spot in the starting line-up, Pipa needs to start doing better when he comes off the bench.
It’s all well and good adding some attacking thrust to the full-back role when coming on as a sub but you have to do your defensive duties first and foremost.
West Brom switched off to concede decisive late goals to Leicester and Sunderland earlier this month and Pipa almost did it against Stoke.
He can’t do that again. Against a better team, he’d have probably cost us a goal.
In other West Brom news, Andy Hinchcliffe was wowed by this “outstanding” Albion player against Stoke.
