Action for Albion respond as West Brom confirm ‘extremely positive’ news, business deal struck

Action for Albion have responded after West Brom extended its partnership with Ideal Heating by a further three years.

The business deal takes the company’s tenure as Principal Sponsor of the Baggies to a record-breaking ninth season, as per the official West Brom website (21 December).

The Championship club noted that the Ideal Heating logo will feature on the shirts worn by West Brom men, women, and all youth age groups, as well as fans.

“This is extremely positive and a sign that the club is still desirable, and despite the current uncertainty that a market leading brand is partnering and investing is extremely positive,” Action for Albion wrote on X.

“We are also aware that some may see this as a negative, as new owners would bring their own sponsors. We would like to see it from an alternative place, it shows whoever the potential new owners are, they see the value of loyalty and consistency, which to us is reassuring.

“Also, it’s worth noting that any sponsorship deal that is inflated to increase turnover to assist with FFP has now been stopped.”

Great news

West Brom have had far too many issues over the years for their liking, but this should be viewed as a very positive one, which will be welcomed by supporters.

The business deal represents loyalty and unwavering commitment to the Baggies, both on and off the pitch, which is very much needed at this moment in time.

Albion boss Carlos Corberan will also welcome the deal, but the manager must now quickly turn his attention to matters on the pitch and the training ground.

He has a lot of hard work ahead of him in what is a busy and crucial time for the Baggies and their Championship rivals.

The first task is to shake the players down from their disappointing 1-1 draw at home to Stoke City on Sunday (17 December) in their build-up to the meeting with Middlesbrough on Saturday (23 December).

It certainly wasn’t the worst result against the Potters, but these are the games that West Brom need to be winning if they are to stay in contention for a play-off spot.

In other West Brom news, Tony Brown has named one player as “the reason” behind the recent 1-1 draw against Stoke.
