Brandon Thomas-Asante sends six-word reaction as West Brom transfer announcement made
Brandon Thomas-Asante has sent a six-word message to Jeremy Sarmiento after his confirmed exit from West Brom on New Year’s Day.
It was confirmed on Monday (1 January) that the 21-year-old Ecuadorian international has been recalled from his loan spell with Albion by parent club Brighton.
Sarmiento took to his Instagram account to thank the fans for their support during his brief spell at The Hawthorns, with Thomas-Asante sending a poignant message to the winger.

The Baggies striker wrote: “It’s not the same without you bro.”
Telling message
Sarmiento will certainly be missed by the West Brom players given his flamboyant and gifted qualities on the football pitch and Thomas-Asante’s message certainly points to that fact.
However, the striker’s message certainly holds so much truth in that the club’s attacking weaponry is now left severely depleted, especially with Jed Wallace out injured again and Grady Diangana now away with DR Congo for the African Cup of Nations.

Also, midfield playmaker John Swift also emerged from the Swansea City defeat on New Year’s Day with a new injury problem which leaves Corberan desperately short in the attacking department.
Tom Fellows has emerged as a real option right now but responsibilities and expectations must be tempered on the youngster as he looks to acclimatise himself to such a level of football at the first time of asking.
Sarmiento never fully quite established himself in the West Brom side this season and certainly flattered to deceive on several occasions but his unpredictability in the final third will always be useful. However, it’s not to be.
In other West Brom news, behind-the-scenes talks are underway regarding a £1million+ Albion player sale.
