Chris Lepkowski sends ‘9996 days’ jibe at Wolves as West Brom news announced
Chris Lepkowski has aimed a jibe at Wolves after the kick-off time has been confirmed for the potential West Brom fourth-round FA Cup clash.
Albion announced on their website on Wednesday (10 January) that the game against their Midlands rivals or Brentford will take place at 11:45am on 28 January after being selected for live television broadcast.
Responding to a tweet confirming the news, the former Birmingham Mail journalist said it will now be 9996 days since Wolves beat the Baggies at the Hawthorns.
Shocking
It’s no surprise to see Lepkowski take a shot at Wolves as he often doesn’t hide his allegiances to West Brom in his social media posts.
But let’s be honest, the Molineux club’s record at the Hawthorns absolutely deserves to be mocked because it’s nothing short of shocking.
They haven’t actually won a game away against the Baggies since claiming a 4-2 victory in September 1996, with Iwan Roberts scoring a hat-trick for the visitors.

While Albion will be keen to ensure their wait continues, Wolves still have to overcome Brentford in the replay after the two sides drew 1-1 in West London.
It’s probably about the only match where the Baggies fans will want to see their Midlands rivals claim a victory as everybody loves a derby game and the chance to claim the bragging rights.
In other West Brom news, a TV presenter has been left stunned by an Albion FA Cup snub.
