Brandon Thomas-Asante delivers timely two key pass masterclass in West Brom 4-1 win v Blackburn Rovers
West Brom enjoyed a superb 90 minutes against Blackburn Rovers on Saturday (13 December) to get their league campaign back on track.
The Baggies ran out 4-1 winners at The Hawthorns, with the hosts inspired by leading attacker Brandon Thomas-Asante.
The striker netted a brace to take his goals tally for the season into double figures, with Tom Fellows also on the scoresheet as Dominic Hyam scored an own goal for the visitors.

But it wasn’t just Thomas-Asante’s goals that caught the eye, with the 25-year-old impressing in various areas throughout the match.
As per Sofascore, the West Brom ace made one interception and one tackle to help out his defence, as well as making two key passes and creating one big chance.
It was a fine display from the Baggies star, who was handed a well-earned rest by manager Carlos Corberan in the 78th minute when he was replaced by Daryl Dike.
With the latter on his way to full fitness, it was a timely masterclass from Thomas-Asante, who may just find his game time decreasing in the coming weeks.

That may occur not only because of the returning Dike, but also after Corberan confirmed that a deal is in the works to sign Bristol City attacker Andi Weimann [Birmingham Live, 13 January].
The man in the dugout is evidently not completely satisfied with his options in the final third, but Thomas-Asante has proven to his boss that he is more than capable of being the main man going forward.
Despite the victory and four goals, Baggies supporters will still be keen to see new attacking arrivals in the January transfer window as the club search for promotion this season.
