Doctor moots long-term injury risk for West Brom midfielder Jayson Molumby
We’re delighted to welcome injury expert Dr Rajpal Brar as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the injury situation at West Brom.
West Brom midfielder is at risk of facing short and long-term injuries due to the intake of painkilling injections, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert claims that while the club may plan for these things, there still is a risk that comes with these kinds of things.
Carlos Corberan confirmed recently that the Irishman had to take painkilling injections in order to be available to play for the first team.

Speaking exclusively with West Brom News about Molumby’s situation, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said: “It’s something that is done consistently at the highest levels of sport and it’s about management and risk/reward.
“Sounds like the club had a plan in place for his minutes with the injection.
“ Whenever you’re playing through overt injury, there’s risk for problems in the short or long-term, whether that’s injury, changed mechanics, etc.”

The 24-year-old has played 24 league games this season but only 12 of them have come from the opening whistle.
Corberan has tended to bring him off the bench on most occasions for the Baggies this season.
However, he did start in the games against Leeds United and Swansea recently.
In other West Brom news, the Baggies are in line to receive a windfall after transfer news has emerged from the Hawthorns this week.
