Doctor shares injury news on West Brom ace Daryl Dike post Achilles setback
We’re delighted to welcome injury expert Dr Rajpal Brar as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the injury situation at West Brom.
West Brom striker Daryl Dike will be monitored closely as he’s made his return post his Achilles injury, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert claims that a cautious approach could be on the cards for the Baggies for the next two weeks as the American looks to regain full fitness.
The 23-year-old missed the first half of the season as he was recovering from a lengthy lay-off and did not return until January 7, 2024.

Speaking exclusively with West Brom News about Dike’s situation, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said:
“His return will have been dependent on how he was responding to training and if he was hitting the benchmarks required.
“The best way to ensure he doesn’t suffer reinjury is a methodical return to matches with multiple bounce matches as there’s always the risk of that happening.
“The club will be taking a cautious approach for the next week or two with him being monitored closely.“

Dike enjoyed a goal-scoring return to professional football as he found the back of the net in the 4-1 FA Cup win against Aldershot.
The US international played one half of that game but was handed just 12 minutes of the following clash against Blackburn in the league.
It remains to be seen when he gets handed his first 90 minutes of the season, but that is unlikely to happen this weekend or next weekend.
In other West Brom news, the Baggies are in line to receive a windfall after transfer news has emerged from the Hawthorns recently.
