Brandon Thomas-Asante sends message amid West Brom exit speculation – ‘Unsung Hero’
Brandon Thomas-Asante has gushed over Adam Reach’s display for West Brom in their win against Blackburn Rovers.
The latter started and played 59 minutes as the Baggies won the Championship encounter 4-1 on Saturday (13 January).
According to Sunday Mirror journalist Darren Witcoop (31 December), Reach could exit The Hawthorns in the January transfer window.

“I’d really like to give Reachy a special mention,” Thomas-Asante told the official West Brom website (16 January). “He’s probably been an unsung hero for a large part of his time here and definitely since I’ve been here.
“The way he applies himself is brilliant. He’s been through injuries and has always come back. He’s always one of, if not the fittest member of the squad and he continues to show his quality.”

Key player
Reach is clearly a key player for manager Carlos Corberan in the club’s search for promotion back to the Premier League.
The midfielder has, however, been unavailable for his boss for a lengthy period due to a thigh injury, but he has now appeared in his club’s last three Championship games.
Having featured against Leeds United and Swansea City, the 30-year-old was named in the Albion starting XI for the first time since April 2023 against Blackburn.
And his return was a welcome boost for Corberan and indeed the team in general as they clinched an important three points with a rampant display on home soil.
West Brom fans will also have been glad to see Reach back on the pitch following a very frustrating period for the player.
Thomas-Asante meanwhile has welcomed back his teammate, but it was indeed the striker who stole the show thanks to his brace at The Hawthorns.
In other West Brom news, one journalist is “sworn to secrecy” over new names in the Albion takeover saga as details are omitted.
