Gary Neville and Roy Keane predict result of West Brom v Norwich City

Gary Neville, Jamie Carragher, Roy Keane, Ian Wright and Jill Scott have all clashed when making their predictions for West Brom versus Norwich.

Speaking on the Stick to Football podcast (18 January), the punditry panel were asked for their picks for this week’s Super 6 predictions but a lot of the panel disagreed.

While Scott, Keane and Wright backed the Baggies to get a win on the road at Carrow Road, Neville and Carragher weren’t so sure as the former Salford CEO’s intrusive thoughts took over.

“2-1 West Brom” Scott said immediately when asked.

“Good shout, actually. I wouldn’t disagree with that,” Keane added to the prediction.

Wright agreed, adding more to his notion of why Norwich wouldn’t get a result.

“They’re not playing well, they’re inconsistent,” he said. “And against the bigger teams they’re not playing well.”

Carragher then questioned Neville and asked if 1-1 was a good prediction, before Neville name-dropped one star he wants to score.

“I need Asante to score,” he said. “Yeah, 1-1.”

Keane then took a cheeky dig because of the Salford connection he has.

“There’s a few mill on the way to Salford, don’t worry about that.”

Momentum

The Baggies had a tough Christmas period with injuries, losing Jeremy Sarmiento to Ipswich and some poor results but thankfully the team are picking up again now.

Carlos Corberan led the team to a dominant 4-1 win in the FA Cup over Aldershot to get back on track and then followed that up with another 4-1 win over Blackburn at The Hawthorns last time out.

West Brom

The team are back in a good way, and Norwich have been struggling in recent times although they got back-to-back wins in their most recent games.

The two sides played each other as recently as Boxing Day and the Baggies claimed a close-fought win at home, so they will know they’re in for a difficult game but will be keen for momentum to take over to keep up their good form.

It will be close but hopefully the team can prove Keane, Wright and Scott right by getting the victory to keep themselves in the playoff conversation and ensure the gap doesn’t widen above themm.
