Okay Yokuslu likely to leave West Brom as Trabzonspor accelerate January efforts to sign him
Trabzonspor have accelerated their efforts to sign midfielder Okay Yokuslu from West Brom in the January transfer window, according to HaberTS.
The Turkish news outlet reported on its website on Wednesday (24 January) that the Super Lig high-flyers have started to take decisive steps to sign the 29-year-old as they look to strengthen their team.
It added that the Turkish international, who previously played for Trabzonspor, is likely to leave the Hawthorns despite featuring heavily under Carlos Corberan this season.
Experience
It wouldn’t be a massive surprise if Yokuslu were to make the move back to Trabzonspor as they will know all about his qualities following his previous spell with the club six years ago.
While his performances have been hit-and-miss at times this season, there is no doubt that he brings plenty of experience to the Baggies squad.
He is a player that Corberan can rely on to go out there and give his absolute all for the club when he steps out onto the pitch and that has endeared him to the fans in recent years.

Whether or not he would be keen on a switch back to Turkey is so far unknown, but you couldn’t blame him too much if that is a move he is looking to make as he approaches his 30s.
It will be interesting to see if this story develops further over the next few days, but Corberan will probably be keen to get a replacement in before allowing him to leave the Hawthorns.
In other West Brom news, the Baggies must act now to avoid one star leaving after a concerning development has emerged.
