Doctor issues West Brom midfielder Jayson Molumby injury update
We’re delighted to welcome injury expert Dr Rajpal Brar as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the injury situation at West Brom.
West Brom midfielder Jayson Molumby will miss the Wolves clash on 28 January and subsequent weeks of training, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert claims that the club were initially not sure about his condition which is why they sent him to a specialist who recommended surgery.
Express and Star reported on 20 January that the Republic of Ireland international will be out of action for three months.
Speaking exclusively with West Brom News about Molumby’s situation, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said:
“When clubs aren’t sure about how serious an injury is, they consult specialists.
“That’s what they did with Molumby and surgery was the recommendation which will see him missing weeks.
“This already sounds like worst case scenario as the injury didn’t evolve like the club expected and then after seeing a specialist, surgery was recommended.“
The 24-year-old has played in 24 league games for Carlos Corberan’s side this season and has done a decent job.
With finances tight, the Baggies are unlikely to be able to bring in a replacement and may look to sign someone on loan in January.

Three months means that he’s unlikely to return until April, provided there are no setbacks, or he could be out for longer than that.
In other West Brom news, the Baggies are now extremely keen on securing a deal for a Premier League striker in January who made headlines this season.
