West Brom: Adam Reach ruled out for ‘four to six weeks’ as another new injury blow emerges at The Hawthorns
Adam Reach now faces a spell of up to six weeks out of action in a fresh new blow for West Brom, according to Jonny Drury.
The Express & Star journalist shared in his article (26 January) that the senior Baggies forward could now face up to “four to six weeks” out after suffering a knock in the 2-0 defeat to Norwich City last weekend (20 January).
The Reach news comes after Carlos Corberan confirmed on Friday afternoon that striker Daryl Dike will miss Sunday’s Black Country derby against Wolves at the Hawthorns after he also picked up a knock at Carrow Road.
Future looks bleak
Corberan made the surprise decision to start Reach in the 4-1 win over Blackburn Rovers on Saturday (13 January) and stuck to his decision at Carrow Road, one which proved unfruitful as the 30-year-old proved he may not have the legs required to give the Baggies what they need in their playoff chase.
And that idea now looks to have been backed up with yet another injury for the West Brom veteran who is surely not capable enough to play a full season at the club again.
The Sunday Mirror journalist Darren Witcoop, taking to his personal Twitter account (31 December), shared that Martin Kelly and Reach could be on the move in the January transfer window.
Reach and Kelly are two of Corberan’s senior players in the squad but both have been blighted by injuries and fitness issues over the past year and their limited minutes and opportunities certainly means their days at the club may be up.
While a January exit for Reach now looks unlikely because of this latest setback, his career at The Hawthorns is still under serious threat and the club will surely plan for life after him ahead of the summer.

Against Norwich, Reach was nowhere to be seen in his 45 minutes on the pitch, failing to register a single key pass, only touching the ball 21 times, failed to attempt a single cross or long ball whilst winning 33 per cent of his total duels, and was dribbled past twice [SofaScore], given the runaround by Norwich right-back Jack Stacey and the in-form Jonathan Rowe.
It’s another new injury blow for West Brom yet again, but an even bigger for blow for Reach and his immediate future as a West Brom employer.
In other West Brom news, the Baggies have suffered yet another injury blow with an update emerging on the condition of Jayson Molumby.
