West Brom on brink of signing Callum Marshall as West Ham United loan development emerges

West Brom are set to sign Callum Marshall on loan from West Ham until the end of the season, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Italian journalist reported via his official X account (26 January) that the 19-year-old is set to join up with the Baggies after signing a new long-term deal at The London Stadium which will keep him at the club until June 2027.

ExWHUEmployee first called that the Under-21 star would be heading out on loan to The Hawthorns (via The West Ham Way, 26 January).

Exciting

Carlos Corberan’s side have a really promising talent on their hands for the rest of the season. If Marshall can hit the ground running at West Brom then it would seriously boost the club’s chances of making a return to the Premier League.

The forward has been on fire for West Ham’s Under-21s this season, scoring 16 goals in just 10 Premier League 2 appearances for the Hammers.

He recently made his first-team debut for the club, coming off the bench in an FA Cup third-round replay against Bristol City, which West Ham lost 1-0 (16 January).

Not only has he already made his West Ham debut, but he has also made his debut for the Northern Ireland national team, making three appearances for his country so far.

Marshall is clearly a player who is ready to make the step up, and he will be hungry to make an impression over the next few months in a West Brom shirt.

In other West Brom news, one first-team player has shared a two-word message amid speculation linking him with a move away from the club.
