West Brom transfer news as Aaron Harper-Bailey departs The Hawthorns for Kidderminster Harriers on loan

West Brom have confirmed that defender Aaron Harper-Bailey has joined Kidderminster Harriers on a short-term loan deal.

Albion announced on their official Twitter page on Friday (26 January) that Harper-Bailey has joined the National League side for the next month.

The 22-year-old, who has yet to play a senior game for the Baggies, is available for Saturday’s (27 January) trip to Dagenham and Redbridge.

Needs some action

At the age of 22 and without a senior appearance to his name in Albion colours, it is difficult see a future for Harper-Bailey at The Hawthorns.

The Englishman has been a regular in Premier League 2, having previously caught the eye for Rushall Olympic to earn his big move.

Carlos Corberan clearly does not have any plans for him in the first team, though, and minutes are needed away from the Under-23s.

The hope is that Harper-Bailey can show exactly what he is capable of in the fifth tier before returning to West Brom in a month’s time.

Even then, it is unlikely he will see any action under Corberan this season, but it may well be that he does have a future at the club.

For now, it is just a case of Harper-Bailey knuckling down and helping Kidderminster, starting in that showdown with Dagenham.
