Carlos Corberan drops Alex Palmer in two changes – West Brom confirmed XI v Wolves

Carlos Corberan has made two change to his starting lineup for the West Brom clash against Wolves on Sunday (28 January).

Ahead of kick-off, the Baggies confirmed via their official Twitter account that Josh Griffiths will start in goal, with Darnell Furlong, Kyle Bartley, Cedric Kipre and Conor Townsend playing in defence.

Elsewhere, Alex Mowatt starts in midfield alongside Okay Yokuslu and Nathaniel Chalobah, while John Swift and Jed Wallace will look to support forward Brandon Thomas-Asante in the attacking positions.

That means first-choice keeper Alex Palmer misses out, while Adam Reach has dropped out of the squad altogether after picking up a knock in the 2-0 defeat against Norwich City on 20 January.

What you live for

These are the kind of games you live for as a player and a fan as bragging rights and a place in the fifth round of the FA Cup are at stake for the two sides.

The pressure should mostly be on Wolves as the Premier League side will be expecting to come away with a victory against Championship opposition.

But they have an utterly dismal recent record at the Hawthorns, where the Baggies will be desperate to keep up their incredible record against their rivals, having not lost at home to them since 1996.

The Championship is ultimately still the priority for Corberan, but he will know how much of a lift it could provide everyone around the club if they can secure a win against Wanderers.

It should be a hard-fought battle, but Albion are going to have defend well and make the most of their chances if they want to come out on top.

In other West Brom news, a first-team player is now likely to leave the Hawthorns.
