Jonas Olsson shares West Brom message ahead of FA Cup showdown v Wolves
Jonas Olsson has shared a new message of support to West Brom supporters, ahead of Albion’s FA Cup fourth-round showdown with Wolves.
The Baggies welcome Gary O’Neil’s side to The Hawthorns on Sunday (28 January) for the first Black Country derby in front of a crowd since 2012, looking to book their place in the fifth round of the FA Cup and get back to winning ways having lost to Norwich last time out.
Wolves are unbeaten in their last six matches in all competitions and will likely provide an incredibly tough test for Carlos Corberan’s side, but former Baggie Olsson has been quick to send a message to fans ahead of the clash.
Olsson shared a video to his Instagram story (27 January) of him scoring against Wolves in Albion’s 5-1 win back in 2012, with a simple gif that reads “Come on you Baggies” and a countdown to the 11:45 kick-off at The Hawthorns.
Come on you Baggies
It’s safe to say that most West Brom supporters would be delighted if they saw their side trounce their Black Country rivals 5-1 again, however, that seems incredibly unlikely this time around as the roles have ever so slightly reversed.
Wolves certainly come into this clash as favourites, even if that is horrible to have to admit. O’Neil’s side have been impressive in the Premier League this season and Albion will have to be at their best to claim anything on Sunday.

However, the FA Cup and derby matches in general are made for upsets and West Brom are certainly capable of ruffling a few feathers and defying the odds to book their place in the fifth round, especially if they’re anywhere near their best.
Corberan’s side have managed to mix it with some of the Championship’s best and if they do the same, they’ll have nothing to fear. Hopefully, one of Kyle Bartley or Cedric Kipre will be able to produce an Olsson-esque moment of magic in the final third.
