BBC Sport pundit shares West Brom fan stance on Tom Fellows after what happened v Wolves

It is understandable why West Brom supporters like Tom Fellows, according to former Newcastle United player Chris Waddle.

The BBC pundit made the comment after the Baggies winger was “direct” in his approach in the FA Cup clash against Wolves.

The 20-year-old was a 67th-minute substitute in the fourth round encounter at The Hawthorns on Sunday (28 January).

“You can see why the West Brom fans like Fellows, he’s direct when he’s on the ball,” Waddle said on BBC Radio 5 Live (28 January, 2.08pm), as quoted by BBC Sport.

Impressive

Fellows has impressed for West Brom this season, with the youngster scoring twice from his 19 matches in all competitions.

Just like it was against Wolves, the majority of those displays have come from the bench under Carlos Corberan. But even with his limited time on the pitch, the 20-year-old looks to be a top player with a very bright future.

And in excellent news for the Baggies, Fellows has recently committed his long-term future to the club with a new contract.

He failed to have any major impact in his cameo against Wolves, although the latter stages of the match at The Hawthorns were massively disrupted by crowd trouble.

With the Premier League club leading 2-0, play was stopped for quite some time due to various incidents in the stadium.

And that is how the match ended, with well-taken goals from Pedro Neto and Matheus Cunha securing a Black Country Derby win for the visitors.

In other West Brom news, a Baggies star has seemingly mocked a former teammate as Premier League club West Ham complete a new January transfer window signing.
