Clinton Morrison disgusted by ‘horrible scenes’ in West Brom v Wolves live on Sky Sports
There were “horrible scenes” in the FA Cup clash between West Brom and Wolves, according to Clinton Morrison.
The Sky Sports pundit was saddened that the fourth round encounter at The Hawthorns was “ruined” due to crowd trouble.
The referee paused the encounter in the 78th minute of the match due to the issues, with police forced to step in to deal with the supporters.
“It was definitely Bartley and he had a child in his hands and he was calling someone else down from the stand in that area,” Morrison said on Soccer Special, as quoted by Sky Sports.
“I’d be going in to get my sons if there’s trouble there. Any parent would do that. These are scenes you don’t like to see. A good football match ruined by fans being in the wrong end. There are all kinds of horrible scenes.”
Disgraceful
There is simply no place for such scenes in football, with the fans responsible deserving very, very strict punishments.
The referee was forced into taking drastic action immediately after Matheus Cunha netted Wovles’ second goal of the game, when fans got into serious trouble at The Hawthorns.
Trouble was perhaps expected given that it was a Black Country Derby taking place, with the two clubs having had a fierce rivalry for some time, but there was simply no need for these problems.
The match was certainly feisty, but the players were producing an exciting encounter in this famous competition. But unfortunately any post-match stories will now focus solely on matters off the pitch as opposed to on it.

There will be plenty of questions asked about the hosting of the fixture if indeed some Wolves fans did make their way into sections of the stadium that should have been occupied by home supporters.
